Cat Cancer News is a free, independent briefing on feline oncology — written for the people who love cats, not for the people who write the journals.
Where this began
This began as a personal research project to keep track of every new development in feline cancer treatment. It grew into a newsletter because too many cat parents were struggling to find and understand this information themselves.
The science exists. It's published in journals, filed in trial registries, and presented at conferences. But it's written for specialists, scattered across dozens of sources, and almost impossible to follow if you're a person sitting at home with a frightening diagnosis and a search engine. We built the thing we wished had existed.
How we source stories
We watch the primary record — not press releases about press releases. Our sources include:
- Peer-reviewed journals in veterinary and comparative oncology
- ClinicalTrials.gov and veterinary clinical trial registries
- Veterinary conferences and their published abstracts
- Regulatory bodies and credible industry announcements
An automated research pipeline checks these sources every 48 hours and surfaces what's new. A human reads it, verifies it against the primary source, and decides whether it's worth your time — most of it isn't, which is the point.
Editorial standards
Every claim links to a primary source. If we say a study found something, you can click through and read the study.
We do not accept sponsorships from pharmaceutical companies or veterinary product vendors. Nobody pays to appear here, and nobody pays to be left out.
We are not veterinarians and do not offer medical advice. We report on science so you can have better-informed conversations with the professionals who actually treat your cat.
